After The French and Indian War (1754–1763), the British came out victorious and had control over a large portion of North America. The war also made the British government money dried out so they decided that the colonists should pay all the expenses for the army. As a result, the Parliament decided to raised the tax for the colonists. They also tried to enforced "stamp act", which taxed anything that is written on paper, and the "Quartering Act", which allow the British soldiers or "red coat" to stay in the colonists houses. The Parliament also made meeting illegal passed "Townshend Act". All these acts eventually lead to the infamous "Boston Massacre", which lead to the dead of five colonists and angered the patriots. Later, in 1773 , to help the East India company the "Tea Act" was passed; the act allow the colonist to buy tea with a bargain from any British agent. But, many radical patriots leader believe that this act was an action to help the current "Townshend Act" to gain popular. This act lead to the final spark of the American war for Independence and the famous Boston tea party. In 1775, the first shot of American revolution was fired at Lexington and Concord, its later refer as "The shot heard around the world". On July 4th 1776 Congress passed the Declaration of Independent, the revolutionary war officially began.
